Guayaba Beach Boutique

Branding

Guayaba Boutique is a new swimwear and beach store located in San Blas Beach, La Libertad, El Salvador. We had the chance to meet the owners and discuss what was it exactly that they were looking for their new business. They've lived in the beach for a while now and needed a fun and chill visual identity, something that reflected their lifestyle.

For this full brand development we designed the logo and visual resources to apply them in social media, general stationery, stamps, packaging and tags. If you happen to travel to La Libertad be sure to visit them and support their business.

Inspiration found in the tropics

Guayaba (Guava in english) is a common tropical fruit cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions. The common guava is a small tree native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and northern South America. The naming is playful and easy to remember, It also represents the owners' roots as they are originally from Mexico and provides the brand with a specific edge that no other boutique in the country had and we built the visual identity around it.

The project took place right before summer, as it needed to be launched in time for the holidays. We created a Guava mascot for the brand, this little guy loves surfing and relaxing in the sand, pretty much like their target audience. The typeface used for the logo is meant to evoke the free spirit and the bohemian vibe that you get when you go to El Salvador's beaches.
